Kessels Molteni Merckx low-end bike (1971)

How to identify a Kessels Eddy Merckx frame

I found my 1971 Molteni bike three years ago, in a hedge(!) here in Bruges. When I asked the neighbours for the owner, they told me that it was a student’s bike. A couple of weeks later I managed to buy the bike for 50 Euros. It had been converted to a fixie by the student, and on top of that, nature (the hedge) had also taken its toll.

Faema Eddy Merckx frame

Faema Eddy Merckx frame 1969

A large stock purchase I made 5 years ago contained a large number of team bikes/frames from Belgian teams, as well as many raw top frames.
Between those frames was also a remarkable Faema frame, nicely packed in 1 of the 20 boxes that were crammed with frames and forks.
The accompanying fork was unfortunately not included, so a nice chrome adapted and mounted as well as a Campagnolo NUOVO Record pat. (The 69 had no pat.code on it) groupset and super champion "Arc en Ciel" wheelset.
