Raspberry Pi (model 2) sockets that are used for the PLμX project.

Connection requirements.

  1. Connector 1: Ethernet 10/100
  2. Connector 2: SD Card Slot
  3. Connector 4: Micro USB Power supply 5V, 1A.
  4. Connector 3: GPIO header (connection to I/O interface)

Note: The Raspberry Pi is a 3.3V device.
The GPIO pins on the Raspberry Pi are unprotected!

  1. Pin1: 3,3 Volt
  2. Pin3: GPIO2 (SDA)
  3. Pin5: GPIO3 (SCL)
  4. Pin6: GND

Connection requirements.

  1. Ribbon cable connect to GNUBLIN Module ADC.
    PLµX ADC interface.
  2. GNUBLIN module-ADC with 8 analog inputs (8-bit resolution).
  3. Using the ADC to read a potentiometer. The ADC converts an analog voltage into a digital format.
    The wiper is connected to analog input 1.
  4. Ribbon cable connect to the 24V I/O interface.
  5. The I/O interface consists of 8 digital 24V outputs with LED status indicators.
  6. The I/O interface consists of 8 digital 24V inputs with LED status indicators.

I/O configuration and power supply.

  1. 24Volt signal lamp connected to output 8.
  2. 24Volt signal lamp connected to output 4.
  3. 24Volt signal lamp connected to output 1.
  4. 24V input connected to input 3.
  5. 24V input connected to input 2.
  6. 24V input connected to input 1.
  7. GROUND.
  8. 24 Volt.

The GPIO pins on the Raspberry Pi are unprotected. So miswiring or an overcharge could damage your RPi!

Second option: The GNUBLIN adapter board.

The adapter board is connected directly to the RaspberryPi.
On the board there are 5 more connection options for modules.
Modules are simply connected via a ribbon cable.
