Tomassini racing frame
Tommasini (Thomas?) Racing frame mid 70s.
Irio Tommasini, cyclist and from 1948 also frame builder. He works together with Guiseppe Pelà, whom he has always looked up to, starts his own business in 1957 and combined it with a post in the post until '71. Flemish touch: Freddy Maertens had relationships with Irio during his Flandria period. To this day, his daughters Roberta and Barbara (along with the sons-in-law) run the business in Grosseto, Tuscany.

Thank you so much. I…
Thank you so much. I frequently see the Tommassini frames fetching top dollar and wondered the history and what made them so great.

Also, I see so much Colnago…
Also, I see so much Colnago in these stunning frames, the lack of chrome, the two brazed on cable guides, not to mention his logo, from a distance looks like a club (three leafed clover) without the stem.
Now I also see much MASI and it all makes sense, with Pela having helped MASI in his shop.

Pela Guissepi used that exact "Dash - dot - dash" on the fork crown, and the "butterfly" cut-outs on the BB. Hmmmmm
