Belgian bicycle and frame builder from 1953 to 1984 in Ostend.
The manager was Fernand Kessels. This firm sold the full range of bicycles, from single speed city bikes to road bikes, all made to order for the local market and export.
The Kessels company was quite large for Belgium. Kessels had a ten year permission to make bicycles with the Merckx name starting in 1971. Fernand Kessels died in 1979 and the firm closed in 1980, the year Merckx began his own firm.
The racing bikes that were made there: Main D'or, Kessels and Merckx.
